Project Anywhere

Announcing the 2013 program

Project Anywhere is an expanded exhibition model encompassing the entire globe in which the role of curator is replaced with the type of peer review model typically endorsed by a refereed journal. Emphasizing artistic projects situated outside conventional exhibition contexts, Project Anywhere is specifically dedicated to the dissemination of advanced art at the outermost limits of location-specificity. Following an exhaustive international peer validation and editorial process, we are now delighted to announce our exciting 2013 program:

Hans Kalliwoda, WiaS (The World in a Shell)
A vehicle for intercultural exchange and cross-pollination with the San (Bushmen) on location in the Kalahari Desert.

Andy Weir, Extended Deep Time Contagion
Yucca Mountain Repository, Nevada; HADES, Mol, Belgium; Gorleben, Germany; Forsmark, Sweden.

Haseeb Ahmed & Daniel G. Baird, Has the World Already Been Made?
Fragments of architectural, ornamental and natural formations from around the world collected using on-site molds and reconciled to construct a single ‘universalized space.’

Marta Jecu, How To Steal A Million
A series of one-night museological interventions in which artists are invited to challenge the borders ofstatic display within established institutions.

Please note that the deadline for proposal submissions for our 2014 program is September 1, 2013.
