CONCEPTES
1.IONOSFERA

CONCEPTS
1. IONOSPHERE
The ionosphere or thermosphere is the part of the Earth’s atmosphere permanently ionized due to photoionization caused by solar radiation. Among the properties of the ionosphere, we find that this layer essentially contributes to the reflection of radio waves emitted from the Earth’s surface, which allows them to travel great distances on Earth thanks to ion particles (charged with electricity) present in this layer. In the polar regions, the charged particles carried by the solar wind are trapped by the Earth’s magnetic field, impacting the upper part of the ionosphere and giving rise to the formation of auroras.

2. PROTOTYPE INSPIRE VLF-3 RADIO RECEIVER
http://theinspireproject.org/
VLF = very low frequency. The frequency band is between 3 and 30 kilohertz. Wavelengths from 100 to 10 km. The receiver is used to make field observations of VLF signals. The INSPIRE-3 VLF receiver is designed to receive radio waves in the 0-10 kHz frequency range, which is audible to the human ear when the waves are converted into sound through speakers or headphones.
